The Fight Against The 3 Anti-Tribal Bills - Quick Assessment

1). Our MP: Remained silent. Didn't support the movement.
2). Our Ministers and MLAs: Took part in passing those Anti-Tribal Bills. Stood against the movement. Choose side with the valley people against their own people, the very ones they should represent.

3). Our MDCs: Took part in the people's movement in their individual capacities. Addressed the people several times at Lamka and in Delhi. Offered burial place for the Tribal Martyrs. Doesn't officially demand 6th Schedule provisions under Indian Constitution to the Central Government, which they earlier vouched for.
4). Our UG Groups (UPF & KNO): Didn't heard that they fought against the Manipur Government that passed those bills. No report available to the public on the roles played by these groups to get the Bills withdrawn/repealed. Not even one of their cadres got injured or killed in the people's movement.
5). Churches: Took part in the people's movement. Hold processions, Prayer meetings.
6).Chief Associations: Took part in the people's movement. Hold processions with their official shawls (Hausa Puan San)
7). Philanthropic Organisations: Took part in the People's movement. Took care of the Martyrs and those injured in the movement. Doesn't stand against the Tribal movement.
8). Women groups: Strongly supported the people's movement. Performed Human chains, Torch Rallies, spearheaded the people's movement in various occasions.
9). Students: Took part in the people's movement. Boycotted classes for the tribals cause. Died while fighting against the three bills.
