I am saddened to see how the seed of Tribal Unity sowed on the aftermath of the passing of the three anti-tribal Bills been rapidly over shadowed by issues, of late, that took communal lines. Even after knowing that we are all facing the same threat from the dominant Valley people, if we can't learn how to think for one another, we are well fitting only for subjugation. Our egoism and pride will do no good but sold us to be discriminated and marginalised by our own internal conflicts.

The issue that all the Tribals of Manipur are engaged since 31st August 2015 is not about tensions between and within Tribals' communities. Rather it's about those 3 bills that all tribals accepted as against US and we all are convinced that we have to focus on those issues only. The recent issue that creeps to cause disharmony between the tribals in Churachandpur is poisonous to each one of US. Let's Bury the age old hatred within us, Brothers. We are already convinced who our real OPPONENT is.

We'll all perish if we cannot learn from our past mistakes. Let's ponder upon our COMMON ISSUES, brothers and sisters.

Churches... Where Are You!!

Of late, each passing day in our town tension and enmity seems to sprout out of nowhere in a place where 100s of Churches stand within a radius of 5 Kilometres only. Dwellers in this town has a record of more than 90% Christians.

Even after the observance of CENTENARY - 100th year of Christianity in our Land, even petty issue is taken on communal lines. The hundreds of churches in the town remain mute spectators and Pastors & Church Elders refrain themselves from this sickening issue even as Press Releases kept piling up.

It's interesting to note that in spite of the failed state of affairs, these churches regularly hold their worship services as usual. Hope this brief write up serves as a wake-up call to those who take this too offensive to ignore!!

Carry Forward The Spirit

We are fast in taking things the communal way. This will further deteriorates the tense situation. We are all convinced that all tribals face the same threat and that it's high time we come together irrespective of the community one belongs.

We have pooled our resources together for the good of all the tribals. We don't bother to classify ourselves as Hmars, Mizos, Nagas, Zomi or Kukis. WHY NOW?? See how people from as far as Songpi area came all the way on foot to donate firewood at Churachandpur District Hospital. Politicians beyond Manipur and cutting across Political parties raised their voices just for the sake of US.

Let's evaluate on how we carry on with the Tribals Movement. Is it not the time to focus on the TRIBALS' MOVEMENT and fight for the Justice of our Nine Tribal MARTYRS after knowing who our real OPPONENT is??

Our Martyrs died as a Tribal, they SHARED death and Morgue together as a Tribal. Can we, the living, not sustain and carry forward the Spirit of our MARTYRS??..

Total Bandh Against Burial of Martyrs

Ostensibly, one of the objectives behind the ensuing Total Bandh called by various Social Media Groups is to obstruct the attempt for burial of the 9 Tribal Martyrs who sacrificed their invaluable LIVES, until befitting JUSTICE is done to the Martyrs. This occasion is an opportunity to show our solidarity to the TRIBALS' MOVEMENT and to ensure justice for ALL.

The Bandh is being called for the common good of all the tribals of Manipur, irrespective of the community one belongs. It's not a call to benefit just one community, but for all the Tribals. Let's work together to make it a SUCCESS. However, even if a particular community cannot extend co-operation to the Total bandh, it's my humble appeal to one and all not to stand on the way. it's also an opportunity to show that WE STAND UNITED.

We will achieve ONLY if we are united. Let's stand together UNITED lest we all fall. We will all share together the fruit of EITHER failure or success. The choice is ours.

OBSERVANCE OF CENTENARY - 100th DAY | JANTAR MANTAR, NEW DELHI | Dt. 11-2-2016

Protest against Anti-Tribal bills worldwide, on 11/02/2016, has reached it's 164th day since September 1, 2015 which also marks the 100th DAY of Tribal Protest at Jantar Mantar since it's started on Nov. 4, 2015.

MTFD leadership took strategic steps in the manner of Protest since January 28, 2016 and adopted a Weekly Protest on every Saturday. However, some die-hard protesters continue to come out every evening braving the cold weather for the Tribal cause and to pay TRIBUTE to the 9 Tribal Martyrs.

To make the 100TH DAY of PROTEST at Jantar Mantar a remarkable one, every one is requested to come and participate at the same venue & time to show solidarity to the TRIBAL’S MOVEMENT. FIRs are yet to be lodged for all the 9 Tribal Martyrs even after the passing of 163 days. JUSTICE DELAYED IS JUSTICE DENIED!! We can no longer remain idle and watch!!!

Against Burial of Martyrs

More than 30 people have earnestly requested KNO&UPF not to go ahead with the decision to burry the 9 Tribal Martyrs before lodging FIRs (The KNO&UPF had on 09/02/2016 announced the date for burial of the 9 Tribal Martyrs as 13th February, 2016).
