PRAISE AND WORSHIP: Pastor V.Nenglian upon reading Psalm 37 encouraged the congregation to put our trust in the Lord and depend on Him; and dedicated today’s worship programme in prayer. The Worship Team led the congregation in singing hymns of praises. Mass prayer was held; and as offertory was brought to the pulpit, Elder T. Kaithang consecrated the same.

INDUCTION CEREMONY: Elder H. Kam Suanthang, Secretary, EBCC Delhi lauded BYF Mohammadpur Area for their efforts in enrolling new members. He called out the names of 33 new members coming from different denominations and inducted them as a member of this church. The Pastor prayed for them. Usually, Induction of new members is held once a month, on receiving filled in application forms for membership.

FAREWELL CEREMONY: The Pastor made a Farewell message of Local Elder, Captain (IN) Lalsuonglien Tonsing, Media & Website In-charge and his family who are moving to Mumbai shortly; and gave him time for short speech. He took the stage and said that they came to New Delhi way back in 2007. After tenure of about six-and-a-half years in Delhi they are leaving for Mumbai. He mentioned how they have been blessed while their stay here and thanked the church members for their co-operation, specially thanked his partners in Media Team (past and present), and for upholding in their prayers. He went on telling that they will be missing a lot about the church, remember the church members and welcome them in Mumbai. He also requested to be remembered in prayer. The Pastor lauded him as a man who always tirelessly fulfilled his responsibilities.

SERMON OF THE DAY:

THEME: ‘SEPARATION FROM THE WORLD – Thy Will Be Done On Earth (Matt 6:10)’

The Pastor based his sermon on 2Kor 6:17, 18; 7:1 and urged upon the need for believers’ separation/parting from the world – which is unclean, sinful and evil. The Bible always mentions the evil side of the world. Believers are expected to be different and live our lives unlike the world’s sinful ways. When the Bible says the world’s ways, it means a life controlled by evil spirit, which is ever sinful. So it forbids believers of sinful nature and to lead the path of righteousness, for every commandment is followed by promises. The Devil permits one to read the Bible, and live like a believer; but never allows one to seek the Lord with all the heart. Satan has no problem as long as one lives a good life within his limit/ boundary. And while living within this limit one could feel like he is a true believer. We have to come beyond that limit and get the Lord’s salvation. Only then, we can lead a true believer’s lifestyles, free from lawlessness, dishonesty and darkness. Separation means parting from Satan’s controlled life.

When one is being separated from the world, his Master has been changed. So is his destination. He is now free to live according to the will of Jesus Christ. God’s will could broadly be divided into two – God’s perfect will and His permissive will. Sometimes believers are being tempted to be boastful according to one’s own perspective. One should often ask whether one’s perspectives are according to the Father’s or of the worlds’. Even the Old Testament spoke of separation from the unclean. We should discard the life of pride and boastful nature, but live according to the will of the Father. Father has a CARING attribute. If we obey and follow the commandments of the Father, we would: - 1) be welcome by Him, 2) He would be our Father and 3) We will become His children. This can be achieved only by way of separation from the world.

•         We are glad to have Elder Chalau on our midst today. He has retired from Govt. Service.

•         A supplement to today’s tea is donated by Local Elder Lalsuonglien Tonsing as a token of thanksgiving to the Lord and the church members.

CONCLUSION: Elder Khamkhanpau made a closing prayer as the last hymn for the day ‘Vualzawlna Ka Tan Vang In’ chosen by Local Elder Lalsuonglien Tonsing came to an end.

HIGHLIGHT FOR NEXT WORSHIP SERVICE:

Next worship service will be held on Sunday 06^th April, 2014, 11:00am at the same chapel as usual. Pastor V. Nenglian will be delivering his sermon. Pastoral Prayer will be hold and fasting prayer will also be held at 10am.

NOTEWORTHY: Mr. Mang Tombing, renowned Zomi martial artists attended the church service today. Upon short discourse with him during tea time, I was moved with the way he prayerfully waited upon the Lord for his future endeavour (‘promotion’, in his own term). He told how he refused attractive offerings even from a Hollowood personality like Jean Claude Van Damme. We are glad to have martial artists amidst us, who waited upon the Lord. He beseeched our prayer. At present, he stays at Katwaria Sarai, New Delhi, with his better half.

Aspiring for Greatness?

Man has been created in the likeness of God. This likeness might be the attributes like humility, honesty, caring nature, etc.

Man has gone astray from the path of righteousness and humility; and got busy himself in the pursuit of greatness. However, he could never achieved such greatness which he aspire for and started worshiping some super human-beings, assuming it ever has existed.

In the pursuit, he has even created some fictional characters like Batman, Vampire, Superman, Ironman Spiderman, Phantom, Robocop, Transformers, Hulk, etc. 

Yet, we are being made to worship HIM, who is Omnipotent, Omnipresent, Omniscient. He would transform us through our faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. Upon humbling ourselves before Him, he made us new creations. He would, further, lead us to perfection and glory THAT EMANATES FROM HIS NEVER ENDING GLORY.

'Glory, Glory... Halleluijah!'... We'll keep singing from the pious heart, even more than a thousand of years. Amen!

PRAISE AND WORSHIP: Pastor V.Nenglian made a prelude – God transformed us, sinners, through our faith in Him and made us new creations. God’s grace is abundant and beyond our worth. We must grow more and more like Him; and dedicated today’s worship programme with a prayer. The Worship Team led the congregation in singing hymns of praises. Mass prayer was held; and as offertory was brought to the pulpit, Elder (Dr.) Langkham consecrated the same.

SHARING: Nu Ngaikhanching shared her harrowing experience she had on 20^th February inside a moving bus. She fell hard inside the bus as the driver suddenly pressed the brake probrably to avoid collusion with another vehicle. She was unable to move, felt pain all over her head and body. An unknown person took her to a hospital. She re-discovered that God is in control and He, the maker of Heaven and earth, alone is our helper. His grace manifests in our weakness. Let incidents happen if it’s for His’ own glory. She cites the scripture portion of Sam 121, 2Kor 12:9 & Phil 1:12.

SERMON OF THE DAY:

THEME: ‘THE BEGINNING AND THE END – Thy Will Be Done On Earth (Matt 6:10)’

Pastor began his sermon asking what experience each person had during the past week that elaborated God’s guidance. He also implored that those experiences may be brought to him in ‘Write to Pastor’, in the church’s website which may well be published in DEW, the Church’s weekly journal. To attribute everything unto Him one has to fully trust in Him.

The Pastor based his sermon on Matt 24:35 – “The sky and the earth won’t last forever, but My words will.” He also quoted scripture portion on Revelations 20 & 21. As a metropolitan Pastor, he is a man noted to have kept updated himself of the happenings around the world as he mentioned about the current USA-Russian imbroglio, the Malaysian Airlines MH370 that vanished on 8^th March with 239 people on board. He went on telling strange happenings in the 1950’s-70’s in a place known as the Devil’s Triangle.

All this worldly things will come to an end one day. We should pay attention on things that will last forever; live with His words that will remain. We should not give undue priority to worldly possessions. Though they are essential for a while, they wouldn’t last till the end. Even the earth and heaven will vanish, but His words will remains for He is the beginning and the end – Alpha and Omega. God exists, but has no beginning. What Genesis 1:1 mentions about is the beginning of creation’s but not of His.

The Pastor briefly mentioned about creation, how sin came into being, hell and God’s plan for salvation. He elaborated on God’s love. God gave man the gift of ‘CHOICE – FREE WILL’, the abuse of which led man into sin. God then created the path of Salvation through His son, Jesus Christ. Man would be condemned not for the sole ‘original sin’, but also for his disbelief in Jesus Christ through faith. While we were given the opportunity we should seek His salvation for the END IS COMING. A believer will share ‘Father-Child’ relationship with God. Ultimately, the End will come. The Coward/unbelievers will face His wrath.

The Pastor stressed on righteousness as is expected from a believer. Whatever riches and possession we may amass through dishonest means will not last. The unbelievers/ corrupt will be casted on Hell, Lake of fire. Then, God will make new Heaven and Earth where He will live amidst His people. He will be their God. He will wipe all our tears. We will praise Him forever and ever. Have you been prepared to meet with the End (the Lord)?

ANNOUNCEMENT:
