Worship Service Write-up
November 22, 2015 | Sunday Worship Service

God planted for us to do good things and to live as he has always wanted us to live. That’s why he sent Christ to make us what we are.” ~Eph 2:10

Morning Worship Service|Time: 11.00 am
Christian Home and Serving the Lord
Pastor V. Nenglian based his sermon on - ‘A family as serving the Lord together,’ based on Eph. 2:10. This sermon is a continuation of his earlier sermon on the subject. He explained what’s working for God is all about. For a Prophet, it’s about telling people whatever message he received from the Lord as Prophet Nathan did. For a Priest, it’s about offering sacrifice to the Lord as Priest Aaron did. As for Daniel, serving the Lord means about prayers and leading an honest life. As for John the Baptist, it’s about telling the people to repent for their sins and baptizing them with water. As for Jesus Christ, it’s about preaching the kingdom of God, healing the sick and sacrificing his life for us, sinners. As for Apostle Paul, it’s about serving the Lord in spite of hardship and perseverance.
Joshua declares that, as for him and his family, they are committed to serving the Lord. We should ponder upon whether we are committed to serve the Lord with all our abilities. As a family we should share and propagate the gospel to others. In EBCC Delhi church, various departments like Sunday school teachers, Praise and Worship Team, Media Team, Prayer Network Team, etc comprised of members who volunteer themselves and are committed to serve the Lord. The Pastor is expecting that in future, more church members will volunteer themselves to serve the Lord and some new department like the Finance Team can as well be formed.
Announcements:
ü  Results of the 2nd Sunday school exams are declared. Anyone who had appeared in the said examination is requested to collect their test papers and notify the Pastor for any error and mistakes in awarding the marks, if at all arises. 7 candidates got full marks in the examination. Churachandpur: The Neglected Hill District of Manipur

Churachandpur: The neglected hill district of Manipur

Written by  Zogam OnlinersPublished inGeneralThursday, 12 November 2015 00:45
~Zogam Onliners

Manipur is a land-locked State having total geographical area of 22,327 sq. km, which is 0.7 percent of the total land surface of India. The State has two distinct topographical zones namely hills and valleys. Of the total geographical area, ninety per cent (20,089 sq. km) is covered by the hills and is divided into 05 districts (Chandel, Churachandpur, Tamenglong, Ukhrul, Senapati). The central valley portion consisting of 2238 sq. km and accounting for only one-tenth of the geographical area is divided into 04 districts (Imphal East, Imphal West, Thoubal and Bishnupur).

The hill districts get neglected since the formation of the state. The hill tribals are not blind to the ill treatment met out to them. They complained of neglect and discrimination in terms of developmental fund allocation, state employment and in every area where state patronage extends. Recently, a student union leader highlighted that the tribal community in the state has been neglected since the Independence.

As regard to the hill district Churachandpur, which is called Lamka by the local populace, the Ministry of Panchayati Raj named Churachandpur in the year 2006 along with other hill districts Chandel and Tamenglong as one of the country's 250 most impoverished districts (out of a total of 640) currently receiving funds from the Backward Regions Grant Fund Programme (BRGF).

To further prove this point of neglect, some of the indicative educational institutions, government offices, hospitals and government institutions and various other government’s infrastructure are concentrated in the valley districts only instead of setting up some of them in the hill districts. They are listed below:

Respect, Love and Loyalty

The moment I came into this world, I was expected to respect, love and loyal to others. To respect, love and loyal to others one needs faith that these sets of quality like courtesy, kindness, gestures and nobility that one shows will be reciprocated. Even if one doesn't receive back GOODNESS, one is still expected to love others the way they are.

Our respect, love and loyalty for someone can be shaken and reduce to hate once the man whom we trust betrayed our Respect, Love and Loyalty for these worldly possessions. As one started to embrace unfaithfulness, unlawful give-and-takes, disloyalty and losing steadfastness to his own-self and pursued for his selfish personal gratification, the Respect, Love and Loyalty one has on him wanes.

I am expected to Respect, Love and Loyal to my representatives in the Legislative Assembly of my State. Sadly, I feel they ignored and refused to value those gesture of mine however frail it might be. Once they choose to deviate from my Trust, Expectations and their duties to speak up for the ones who put them to those positions, I can't remain respectful, loving and loyal to them who lost my belief on them.

The point, now, is should I remain loyal and truthful to myself or should I wrongfully imitate that I still Respect, Love and Loyal to them who failed me and forsake me? I think I should be loyal to myself. Only then I can be loyal to others. Is it not a duty to give others their due! Of course, forgiveness should be shown, once one has a change of heart and desires for the same.
