Easter Sunday Worship Service | March 27, 2016

Church Worship Service Write-up
Time: 03.00 pm
Pastor N. Tuanglang took to the pulpit and delivered his Sermon on ‘WONDERFUL RESURRECTION’ based on Rom 6:1-13 and 1Kor 15:13-19. It is about the majestic resurrection of Lord Jesus Christ which is so powerful and beyond the grasp of unbelievers. No resurrection like that of our Lord Jesus Christ’s happened nor will happen in future.
So many wonderful and captivating incidents happened when Jesus Christ arose from the grave. No soldier has ever guarded a grave to prevent the death from resurrection. There was an earthquake and an Angel descending from the heaven rolled away the stone that covers the tomb of Jesus Christ. We may hear stories of someone who regained consciousness from a near-death experience but they eventually died sooner or later. But, Jesus Christ never again died after his resurrection. Rather, He went up to the heaven to prepare a place for believers.
Had Jesus Christ not resurrected from death, our living message would be senseless. Our faith would be useless. The witnesses to the resurrection of Jesus Christ would be liars. We wouldn’t be redeemed from the consequences of our sins. Those who have attained physical death would have been perished. Christians would become the most pitiable of all. However, with the resurrection of Jesus Christ, believers became new creations. We died with physical deaths but rise with spiritual lives. Believers can now become instruments of Righteousness.
The big question now is whether we live our life fit to be called a resurrected life. We should examine the way we live our life worth our while. Jesus Christ wants a place in our hearts. Let’s open up our hearts for Him. This golden opportunity may not always be accessible for us.

Good Friday Worship Service | March 25, 2016

Pastor Biakson took to the pulpit and delivered his Sermon on the topic ‘THE POWER OF THE CROSS’ based on the Scripture portions from 1Kor 1:18-22, Rom 3:21-265:9Gal 3:13,Phil 2:6-11. The Pastor began his preaching with God’s love and the Power of the Cross. He also sang ‘Etlawm Kalvari Cross’ which strongly support today’s sermon.
The world is broadly divided into two with the coming of Jesus Christ. The Power of the Cross is God’s work and not of human’s. Man cannot do anything to earn or receive the power of the Cross. It is God’s abundant Grace. The atonement for our sin is a free gift from the Lord. As Christ died on the Cross for our sins Cross becomes the altar of our salvation. So believers highly regarded the Cross and it becomes a symbol of God’s love.
Jesus Christ declared on the Cross that the debt of our sins is paid. Hence Jesus Christ is our JUSTIFICATION. When one accepts the love of God through Faith one becomes a new creation. It also saves one from the wrath of God. The power of the Cross is by default the strength of believers. Christ paid for our sins till the very last. How fortunate we are that we have a savior like Jesus Christ. Having said that WHAT DOES JESUS CHRIST MEANS TO YOU?
Announcements:
Coming Sunday i.e., March 27, 2016 will be observed as Easter Sunday.

Sunday Worship Service | March 13, 2016

Time: 03.00 pm
Pastor Biakson took to the pulpit and delivered his Sermon based on John Chapter-3. It is about the story of Nicodemus, a Pharisee and a Jewish leader, who came to Jesus one night and asked a set of questions that baffles him. They entered into deep conversation. Jesus told him that one must be born again to enter into God’s kingdom. Nicodemus in spite of being a renowned teacher was unable to grasp the way to heaven and could not understand when Jesus advise him to be born from above. So, Jesus went on to the very basics of Salvation.
Salvation is the work of God and a man must be born again to receive salvation. Jesus explained to him using an analogy of human’s physical birth. Salvation is the work of the Holy Spirit and one cannot predict it like the way one can’t tell how and from which directions the wind blows. One needs to be born of the spirit. Salvation is God’s grace and it could not be earned by one’s own efforts and deeds. One cannot get salvation because of one’s own refusal.
If one does not believe in Salvation as the work of God he is being condemned by his own decisions for refusing God’s grace. The longer we refuse to get salvation, the longer it is that we choose to remain in sin and in the dark. We should respond to God’s free gift of Salvation. Some lessons we can learn from Nicodemus are:
Ø  Our identity and status in the society cannot give us peace of mind.
Ø  One cannot earn Salvation by virtue of one’s identity, status in the society and deeds
Ø  One requires to be born again. Have you got salvation? Is your future secured?
