Easter Sunday | EBCC DELHI Church
Easter Sunday Worship | April 16, 2017 | 11:00 a.m.

Pastor N. Tuanglang greeted the congregants and welcomed guests who come to attend worship service, as the mass worshipping in singing hymns of praises led by the Worship Team concludes. Choir from Baptist Youth Fellowship, Baptist Children Department and Baptist Dorcas Fellowship (Music Department) followed in succession to warm the Easter Sunday’s worship.

Pastor N. Tuanglang delivered his sermon on ‘The Resurrection of Jesus Christ - What it means to you?’ based on the Scripture portions from Rom 6:3-5, 8, 10-13 and 1 Kor 15:13 & 14, 16-19. He exhorted the congregants to evaluation oneself on what the resurrection of Christ means to you. Pastor then went on stressing on the points as follows:

Jesus Christ’s resurrection from death does not happen like an accident. It was foretold by Prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 53. King David too foretold it in Psalm 16:10. Jesus Christ Himself foretold about it thrice each in Mathew, Mark and Luke. Jesus Christ emphatically announced well in advance that He is Life and the Resurrection.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ was acknowledged by an Angel (Matt 28: 6&9). Soldiers were bribed to conceal the resurrection as seen in Matt 28:15. Jesus Christ appearance to the people on their way to Emmaus, to His disciples and His ascension to heaven proves His resurrection (Mk 16:19, Lk 24:51).

The resurrection of Christ validates the Bible. It proves what the Bible teaches (2Tim 3:16). It also confirms what we believes in and about our faith.

The Resurrection of Christ gives us new life (Rom 6:3-4). It equips believers to have victory over temptation. It also demolishes this sinful body and frees us from the bondage of sin (Rom 6:6-7). We can now avail God’s help (IKor 10:13). God expects us to be holy (I Jn 3:3).
