Worship Service
Time: 03.00 pm
Pastor commissioned two
BCD teachers with a word of prayer in addition to four teachers commissioned
earlier at 11:00am worship service of today. He then prayed for the
congregants.
Today’s
Sermon was delivered by Elder T. Kaithang who is all set to settle back in
Lamka Town shortly (on March 11, 2016 to be specific) as he was recently
Pensioned as Finance Director from Emanuel Hospital Association (EHA). At the
very outset, he mentioned his past services as a Teacher for 8 years. He then
worked in the SBI for about 26 years. Later, he came to Delhi way back in May
2005 to join the EHA where he worked till his pension. He is presently holding
the post of Vice Chairman in the local Upa Committee and also as a Convenor in
the Church’s Building Sub-Committee. He based his sermon on ‘DIKTATNA IN NAM A
TAWISANG.’ and read the scripture portion from Genesis 15:6, which says, ‘And he
believed in the LORD; and He counted it to him for righteousness.’ The whole sermon
revolved around the life of Abraham. God considered Abraham as a righteous man
because he put his faith in the Lord..
The speaker stressed on
the importance of RIGHTEOUSNESS and urged the congregants to be righteous in
all spheres of our daily lives. Abraham fearing for his life asked his wife to
introduce him as her brother to the Egyptians which is a half-truth. Believers
often resorted to telling half-truths at will to save ourselves from
embarrassments, which should be avoided. Rather we should always be telling
only truths and live an honest and righteous lives to become a great nation. He
ended his sermon by saying, “Righteousness exalts a nation and before which we
ourselves should uphold righteousness.”
Elder Ngulminthang
Langel bid fare-well to Elder T. Kaithang on behalf of all the church members
and acknowledged Elder T. Kaithang as one of the most presentable leaders this
church has.
Pastor K. Vumzathang

Division, who was also our previous Pastor were given short speeches, as well.
